The simplicity of being a child. Don’t you miss those days when the hardest decisions were which cereal to eat and what cartoon to watch? I miss the simplicity of being a child…Adult life is so over complicated 😀
It’s really true, when grownups use to tell us not to wish to grow up too fast. Grownup life is not so amazing. We used to think that they’re talking nonsense and clearly can’t remember how it feels to be a child. We can’t do certain things because of our age, like watch the “cool” movies, go on the bigger rides, go somewhere without your mom and someone not telling you what to do the whole time. Oh boy, I will take “children problems” any day above “adult problems/life”
Unfortunately, we can’t stay children forever. Children will be glad to hear that but adults wish for the opposite.
A thing I recently started to realize, is that we take life a little too serious sometimes. We forget to stop and look around us. Why are we racing through our day just to tick everything we need to get done? We are so focused on the next thing, we don’t take time to enjoy what’s happening in the moment or try to make it a better experience.
I’m talking about myself here! That’s me! I have a mental check list and I stress myself out if I just realize the silliest thing like: “yesterday this time I was done with this. I need to go faster, or prioritize better otherwise I won’t get everything else done.” I get tired of this and then it results in me stressing out even more. I’m working on it now. Working to take every minute as it comes. I don’t have to tick everything off exactly at the same time as the previous day. Heck, I don’t even need to “tick” everything. Prioritize the most important and the extra things…deal with them if you find time. Not everything needs to be done right now! Like my dad always tell me: “Husssaaa” 😀
Maybe I’m talking only about myself, but I’m pretty sure some of you too, sometimes forget how it felt to be a child.
“Childhood means simplicity. Look at the world with child’s eyes – it is very beautiful.” – Kailash Satyarthi
“Simplicity is when you let yourself be. A #child is as okay being sad as he is being happy.” – #SayQuotable
I think we overcomplicate our own life’s just by the thoughts we have. Just a mind shift can change your perspective of any situation you might find yourself in.
A simple example:
We had some heavy snowfall in the beginning of the week and some results were…
People literally had to dig out their cars. Snow piles were getting so high!
Now where some people saw a problem, obstacles etc. These kids saw an opportunity to see the bright side and have fun.
I’m not suggesting you should do exactly as a child would, but sometimes we should change our headspace to look at a situation through a child’s eyes. = Don’t sweat the small stuff!
I invite you to go through your week and keep your eyes open for children around you. Just have a look at the joy a lot of them have in their eyes. Find your inner child and don’t over analyze the littlest things that will not even matter tomorrow.
Simplify your life by letting go of the unnecessary adult stresses. Change your outlook on your days. You might just find that you enjoy life much more!
Talk to you all soon! Blessed week for everyone!
