Week one of my new program regarding my training and study schedule (Mentioned in last weeks post) has been a success, except for by Saturday, I felt a little under the weather. My body needs to adjust to the new routine. By Saturday I was dead tired, my immune system even took a little dip, so not only was I not feeling so well (had an upset tummy) it also resulted in me sleeping almost the whole day, a day spent in bed. Not even joking. As I was writing this, I was sitting under my bedcovers with sleepy eyes. So, my dear friends and family, I want to say sorry that this won’t be a very exciting and a “so interesting” post. Life happens and it might not be one of the best posts but I will still get a post out no matter what!
This week’s post will be a little week update. As you know I wanted to re-shift my schedule around so that I can keep pushing to achieve all my goals and stay motivated. This new schedule started out good. It hit a little speedbump on the first day but I quickly found a solution and my plan was back on track. But the exciting things that happened was not at all the planned things! In last week’s post I showed you guys the Theatre I went to….the one around the corner from my hostel. The Philharmonic Theatre. That show was on the Saturday and it did not end there. On Monday evening, we went to watch another performance at the music conservatory where students performed opera pieces, then on Thursday, my university had a special show celebrating spring. That was a very fun show. Entertainers (students) entertaining the entertainers (students) 😀 There were some special quests as well, and just an all-around very fun and exciting show! Then that same evening, we went and watched an all traditional song and dance performance. Everything Tatatar and some Russian as well. That too was a very lovely show. My whole week was so busy but filled with great memories! The exciting part….as told by my teacher, with the exam month around the corner (June), there will be even more shows and performances coming up that we can go watch whenever we have time, as all the different faculties do their exams! Seeing as it’s an art Institute…exams are not all done on paper! How exciting!!! 😀 Just thinking of it makes me feel even better already!!!
Here is a little video with snippets of all the shows. A must watch!
Enjoy! 😀
Even in ballet we started to rehearse some pieces. I’ve been learning and rehearsing variations from Le Corsair, but if I’ll actually be performing it or not, I’m not yet sure and also for when, that is still something I need to find out. But in the meantime, I’m just enjoying the moments as they come!
As for now, I’ll be sleeping, resting, and doing my homework/studying….and looking forward to my holiday! South Africa you will see me soon! 😀
I hope everyone had a wonderful week and may the week ahead be filled with wonders and everything your heart’s desire!
Talk to you all soon!
