Flowers, chocolates, teddies, heart shaped cards and everything….Valentines!
So, it seems that International Woman’s Day is equal to our Valentine’s Day. The shops were full of hearts, balloons, decorations, flowers, basically like it was Valentines. They do more effort with International Woman’s Day than with Valentine’s Day.
As you know, I had Thursday (8 March) off because of this day, but I didn’t get Friday off like I first thought I would. No super long weekend. I was actually happy about this because when I have classes, the days fly by and although I look forward to weekends to rest, they sometimes cause some longing moments.
On Tuesday, they held a concert at the University in honor of International Woman’s Day. It was quite nice and very festive. Dancing and singing was the main events. They made it special for us.
My favorite was the dancing, of course. They performed two traditional dances (One Tatarstan and one Bashkir) and also a ballroom piece.
There was this guy who sang and for some reason he was a favorite of the audience. I also actually enjoyed him. He made us smile and laugh.
This Professor with some amazing talent! Everything your hear is his voice (mouth) and instruments.
And so the concert on Tuesday came to an end. On Wednesday our teacher treated us again with some chocolates with tea and coffee. Thursday was the actual celebration and I spent it resting, studying, and going to the shops to get a few things I needed.
Friday came and the University was quieter as not everyone had class. Some really did get a super long weekend! We thought we would also get Friday off, because our History/Social Studies teacher told us so. But things had to change as one of the girls in my class, we are only 3, has to return home much sooner. This Friday to be exact. We had to do class because she now has to do her exam before she leaves… SUPER early! That means that she needs every possible class, and so do we actually 😀 I didn’t mind, because like I said, I actually preferred it.
There you go! My week roughly summed up and how my International Woman’s Day went. I hope all the ladies reading this, had a special day!
Oh and for those who are wondering about the ballet. It’s going good! Although I can’t attend that many classes like I could before my schedule changed, I’m still enjoying it a lot! Yesterday’s class went so well! 😀 But I did end up looking like a walking tomato face, even so that a girl asked me if I was crying! 😀 I’m really looking forward to start my degree studies in the choreography faculty at the end of the year. Feels amazing to say that and not “next year”. Wow I can almost say my 1st year out of the 5 is done! Time really does fly!
This was just a really short update post of my week, but next week will be an interesting one, just wait! May you all have a wonderful and blessed week ahead! Please subscribe, share and comment so I can know my readers like what I write about and support me. I really appreciate every single one of you! Thank you!!!
Requests are very welcome, talk soon!
